The Alligator can be used for processing sustaining sounds like strings and pads, adding rhythms and accents. It can also be used on loops and other rhythmic material, changing the feel and sound. Applied to a whole mix, the Alligator can be a powerful remix tool, totally reshaping the material. About the Patch format Alligator patches have the file extension ".gator". The Factory Sound Bank contains a number of Alligator effect patches for use as is or as starting points for further tweaking. Patches are loaded and saved using the standard procedures.
